In this interactive presentation designed for those who already have a foundation in documentation requirements, Frances Schopick, JD, MSW reviews the key components of evidence-based documentation and shares patterns she’s seeing in Department of Health complaints that show the importance of precise documentation. Attendees will learn where providers often run into trouble, and will learn tips for optimizing documentation, maintaining records and writing notes that serve clients and survive scrutiny in the event of an audit or legal action.
Frances Schopick, JD, MSW is an attorney with an extensive background in Psychology and Social Work. She has served on the Faculties of the Departments of Psychiatry at both Icahn School of Medicine (formerly known as Mount Sinai School of Medicine) in NYC, and Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA.
